The history of the Ling Shen Ching Tze Temple dates back to the 1890s, when Redmond, WA, was first settled. Chinese immigrants began to emigrate to the area, and many built homes where they could practice their traditional religious beliefs and culture. At that time, there was no specific temple in Redmond dedicated to the practice of Chinese religion. In the years that followed, the LSCFT was established and built in the same area where the Chinese immigrants previously lived. To this day, the temple remains the only Chinese temple in Redmond.
